Mauro Contini becomes president in a planned family transition
The presidency changed formally after the board meeting at the end of May. The cousins had planned an alternation when honorary president Paolo Contini relinquished the position, and both retained their established operational responsibilities.
The transition also brought a change in executive management. Gianfranco Siddu, a family member trained in agricultural and forestry sciences, succeeded Dino Loi, who remained available as an adviser after 50 years with Contini.
The company also outlined its current investments. A former regional agricultural-consortium building, acquired approximately two years earlier and partially renovated, became the logistics and stock centre. The longer-term plan is to concentrate the historic premises on hospitality and maturation. Vineyard activity expanded after the merger with Cantina Atzori, including sites beside the Cabras and Mistras lagoons, with further growth in directly managed vineyards planned.
