About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie at an altitude of 300 metres. The vines are 25 years old on average.
Grapes
Sangiovese is blended with small amounts of Canaiolo and Colorino.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes ferment with selected yeasts in stainless-steel tanks for 14 days at a controlled temperature of 28 °C. Malolactic fermentation follows alcoholic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for 20 months in French oak casks and barriques, followed by six months in bottle in the winery’s cellars before release.
Tasting profile
The aroma is deep and elegant. The palate is rich and fruit-forward.
