About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Sangiovese comes from La Mannella, one of the coolest parts of the Montalcino appellation. The vineyard lies at 350 m above sea level and has stony soils.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and vinified traditionally in temperature-controlled steel vats.

Ageing

The wine matures for 36–40 months in large 30 hL Slavonian oak barrels. After bottling, it rests for at least another six months in the winery’s cellars. The 2019 vintage is expected to reach peak maturity between 2026 and 2039.

Tasting profile

Elegant.

Label / history

Production of the 2019 vintage totalled 25,000 bottles.
