Presentation of Frassitelli Pietra Martone

The article recalls Luigi Veronelli’s encouragement to vinify the Frassitelli Biancolella separately and Andrea D’Ambra’s first such vintage in 1985. Thirty years later, the 2015 harvest produced Pietra Martone after years of trials and meticulous selection. Its name comes from the large green-tuff monolith overlooking the vineyard, and Marina D’Ambra designed the label. Just over 3,700 bottles were made, with approximately 18 months of lees ageing used to demonstrate Biancolella’s capacity for extended development.
