Vigna dei Mille Anni 2016 receives 96/100

The article traces the project to Benedetto Migliaccio’s proposal that Andrea D’Ambra manage a family property at Iesca, approximately 400 m above sea level, overlooking Sant’Angelo and Maronti beach. Associated with the family since around the year 1000, the land had long been abandoned to scrub. Extensive reclamation and the planting of 4 hectares restored the vineyard, which began producing fruit in 2012. Per’ ’e Palummo/Piedirosso is the principal variety, blended with Aglianico and Cabernet Sauvignon. Vinification takes place in stainless steel, followed by 18 months in oak and approximately 12 months in bottle.
