About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The selected fruit is grown in the Valpolicella area of Veneto.

Grapes

The blend uses selected Corvina Veronese and Rondinella grapes.

Vinification

Before traditional fermentation, the grapes are dried briefly in wooden crates. The wine then undergoes a second fermentation in contact with the grape-skin pomace remaining from Amarone production.

Ageing

The wine ages for two years in large Slavonian oak casks of 20–50 hectolitres.

Tasting profile

Richly flavoured and full of character, with a strong structure.

Label / history

The source states that “Classico” refers to the old, historic area of Bardolino, known since Roman times, whose vineyards traditionally supplied grapes for the region’s wines.
