About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from young vines on the slopes of the extinct volcano Vulture. Cantine del Notaio’s family vineyards comprise 26 hectares divided into five plots with differing soil types and have been farmed according to biodynamic principles since 1998.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the first half of October and macerated on their skins for seven days. Fermentation lasts 15 days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in three- and four-year-old French oak barrels stored in natural caves carved into volcanic tuff.
Tasting profile
Fresh, pleasant and aromatic, with good structure.
Label / history
The name “L’Atto” means “action” in Italian.
