2016 vintage: The blends are in

The 2016 report describes more than twenty years of à la carte harvesting, with each of sixteen vineyards picked through an individual appointment based on maturity. The flagship was assembled in equal conceptual parts from two Merlot and two Cabernet Franc tanks, releasing it from a fixed varietal identity and treating it as that year’s version of the estate.

Merlot for Palazzi came from the first harvest day, 24 September. The three Campi were picked on 10 October: Magnacosta showed precision, Tenaglia density and persistence, and Camagi an especially authoritative character.
