MaDamigella Blu debuts at Vinitaly 2024
Cantina Valpolicella Negrar returned to Vinitaly under the Domìni Veneti banner, an exhibition identity it had used since 2019. Technological, productive and qualitative resources invested in the brand had raised its contribution to approximately 30% of the cooperative’s turnover; total turnover for 2022/23 was approximately €45 million.
The principal new release was MaDamigella Blu, named and illustrated after a blue damselfly that lives beside clean water. The project extended Domìni Veneti beyond its traditional concentration on Veronese reds into the rosé category.
The retrospective accompanying the launch traced the brand to the qualitative break made during the methanol-wine crisis of the 1980s. It highlighted research, experimentation and zoning—first in Negrar, then across the other valleys of Valpolicella Classica—as the basis of its autonomy and recognisability in the premium market.
