About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The highest vineyard lies beside the mountain road at 1,070 m above sea level. The 0.5 ha plot is planted with 80-year-old red and white grape varieties, all used in the blend.

Vinification

The wine undergoes a long spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in Slovenian oak barrels. It is bottled without filtration or added sulfur.

Ageing

Ageing lasts 6–8 months, initially in large barrels and subsequently in old barriques.

Tasting profile

Juicy, generous and wild, with a striking aroma and deep flavour. Fresh acidity and minerality give it a character reminiscent of a white wine.

Label / history

The name “Quota N” comes from the mountain road beside Eduardo’s highest vineyard.
