About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The small Le Gonnare vineyard has stony, clay-rich soils that promote gradual ripening, particularly for Merlot.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into small crates. After crushing and pressing, the must ferments with native yeasts, with careful control of maceration length. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally.
Ageing
The wine ages for around 18 months in barriques, one-third of which are new, followed by another year in bottle.
Tasting profile
Balanced, with a Mediterranean character.

Fabio Motta acquired the Le Gonnare vineyard in 2012.
