About this wine
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, and 20% of them are dried for eight weeks. Maceration lasts 25 days with regular punch-downs.
Ageing
The wine is aged for around 18 months in Slavonian and French oak barrels of 30–60 hl.
Tasting profile
Rich and tannic, with a long-lasting taste. The aroma is intense, with a slightly resinous note.
Serving and pairing
Suited to traditional meat dishes, game and grilled food.
Label / history
Mario Fantinel, owner of the Fantinel brand, previously ran several hotels and restaurants. He felt drawn to the land, and this led to the creation of the family business in Friuli.
