About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the Erice area of western Sicily, at an altitude of 250–300 metres.
Grapes
Zibibbo is also known as Muscat of Alexandria.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand late in the season, once they have begun to dry on the vines, and are then destemmed by hand. Cold skin maceration is followed by very slow pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine matures in bottle in the winery’s cool cellars.
Tasting profile
Smooth and enveloping, with flavours of honeyed fruit.
