About this wine

Vinification

The grapes are harvested in the second half of September, at a balance of acidity and sweetness. They are gently pressed, followed by a slow fermentation at a controlled temperature using a traditional white-wine method.

Ageing

Before bottling, the wine rests on its lees for five to six months.

Label / history

Francesco Folonari founded the company in 1825 in Valcamonica. In the mid-nineteenth century, he moved with his family to Brescia, in the foothills of the Alps. In the second half of that century, the company both produced and bottled wine, an unusual practice at the time. Its founding aim was to make good-quality, affordable wines for everyday drinking, a philosophy it continues to follow.
