About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The 1.5 ha Boboli vineyard lies on the hills of Castelnuovo Magra, in the province of Spezia. It was planted in 1913 and partly replanted in 2005.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September and placed in small boxes. Before fermentation, they undergo a 36-hour maceration in stainless-steel tanks at 6–8 °C, followed by fermentation at 16 °C.

Ageing

The wine matures in stainless-steel tanks for about eight months, including six months on the lees, followed by a further two months in the winery’s cellars after bottling.

Serving and pairing

Serve in medium-sized glasses.
