About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

La Matta is produced from a careful selection of bunches grown in the Casà vineyard at Monticello d’Alba.

Grapes

100% Barbera.

Vinification

Harvest takes place in October, with manual bunch selection. Maceration lasts approximately 10 days in stainless-steel vats.

Ageing

The wine matures in stainless steel and a large cask, spending approximately 18 months in wood.

Tasting profile

The selected Casà fruit gives the wine an elegant, dynamic character. It is structured enough both for immediate drinking and for extended maturation.

Serving and pairing

Pair with grilled meats, roasts and piquant cheeses. Ageing potential is 10 years.
