About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the Pigno cru, in the hills of Soave. The vineyard was planted in 1990 on volcanic soil, which contributes distinctive minerality and a lightly salty character.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into small boxes. After three hours of maceration, the must is gently pressed. Fermentation begins in French oak barriques and 40 hl oak casks, then continues in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 14–16 °C.
Ageing
The wine ages in barriques and large oak casks for 8–10 months.
Tasting profile
Rich and distinctly mineral, with a lightly salty character.
