About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Sangiovese is grown in dry, well-ventilated vineyards in Montalcino at 250 metres above sea level. The soils comprise marl, silt and clay, alternating with limestone layers and bands of quartz sandstone.

Vinification

The wine undergoes fermentation before ageing.

Ageing

It matures for four years in 20–25 hl Slavonian oak casks, followed by at least six months in bottle.

Tasting profile

Powerful and complex, with a layered aroma that unfolds slowly and a distinctly wild character.
