About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Pinot Grigio is grown in Collio, on the Italian-Slovenian border. The Ca' Ronesca estate has around 60 ha of vineyards surrounded by almost 60 ha of woodland. Of the vineyard area, 37 ha lie in the municipality of Dolegna del Collio, while a further 20 ha extend around the slopes of Ipplis hill. The vineyards occupy steep and gentle east-facing slopes among chestnut, oak, acacia and juniper trees; centuries-old cypresses also grow abundantly on Ipplis hill.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18 °C.

Ageing

The wine remains in stainless steel until at least the spring following the harvest.

Tasting profile
