Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow under the hot Tuscan sun in vineyards with sandy and limestone soils, where they reach optimal ripeness.
Vinification
The wine is made using traditional methods. It undergoes spontaneous fermentation with yeasts in steel tanks for three weeks and is neither filtered nor clarified.
Ageing
It matures for 28 months in oak barrels, followed by 21 months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Expressive and rich, with a bright, layered bouquet, juicy fruit, clear structure and lively acidity.
Label / history
The name translates as “Above the Fiery Rock.” Production was limited to 2,444 bottles.
