About this wine
Grapes
Made from a selection of Sangiovese grapes and produced only in exceptional years. In 2015, winemaker Fabian Schwarz judged the fruit suitable for exclusive Riserva production.
Vinification
The grapes were harvested in early September. Vinification took place in large oak casks, with 45 days of skin maceration.
Ageing
The wine matured for 40 months in new 500-litre French oak barrels, followed by 18 months in bottle.
Label / history
A total of 5,300 bottles were produced.
