About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown at Tenuta Lamborghini. The winery’s La Fiorita estate lies on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, between the southern shore of Lake Trasimeno and Panicale. It covers about 100 hectares, including 32 hectares of vineyards. The soils are clay and limestone. Warm summers and cool nights within a mild climate allow slow ripening.
Grapes
The fruit is selected before vinification.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes are gently pressed. Primary fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks to retain the fruit character and delicate floral notes. Secondary fermentation follows the Charmat method, lasting 1.5–2 weeks in sealed autoclaves.
Ageing
The wine remains on its lees for 1–2 months.
Tasting profile
Fresh and soft, with a pleasant aroma, delicate floral and fruit notes, and a smooth, velvety roundness. The texture is refined and fresh, with fine, persistent bubbles and a balanced palate.
Serving and pairing
Suitable as an aperitif or with light desserts.
Label / history
Ottagonale comprises six sparkling wines, each distinguished by a different coloured label and presented in Lamborghini’s signature eight-sided bottle. Green Label uses bright green glass and has a bold, modern silhouette.
Ferruccio Lamborghini founded the winery in the 1960s after leaving the automotive business and returning to his agricultural roots. His daughter, Patrizia Lamborghini, has managed the estate since the 1990s. The winery works with oenologist Riccardo Cotarella.
