About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Produced at Le Bocce in Panzano in Chianti, near the boundary between the provinces of Florence and Siena. The estate sits at mid-hill altitude on permeable soils containing marl, silt and clay.

Grapes

50% Trebbiano Toscano and 50% Malvasia Bianca del Chianti, two indigenous Tuscan varieties.

Vinification

Harvest takes place in mid-September. The grapes undergo a drying period of at least five months.

Ageing

The wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrels. Compared with the related Novembre wine, Passo Albereto receives two months less barrel ageing.
