About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The native varieties are especially well suited to the local soils.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in the second half of September. A long maceration on the skins follows in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures in French oak barrels for 9–12 months, followed by a further 12 months in bottle.
Label / history
Faro DOC received official recognition in 1976, although the area had already been known for its wines for many years.
