About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards are located in Montalcino, Siena, on sandy soils with clay deposits.

Grapes

The wine is made from Sangiovese Grosso, also known as Brunello.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested entirely by hand between the last week of September and the first week of October. Fermentation lasts 15–20 days in stainless-steel tanks, with frequent pump-overs.

Ageing

The wine matures for at least 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by at least four months in the winery’s cellars after bottling.
