About this wine
Grapes
The blend includes Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera di Lecce.
Vinification
The grapes were harvested in early September, gently pressed and destemmed, then macerated briefly at 7–10 °C. Alcoholic fermentation took place at 18–20 °C.
Ageing
The wine rested for one month in stainless-steel tanks, followed by one month in bottle.
Label / history
Five Roses was the first Italian rosé to be bottled. Leone de Castris was founded in Puglia in 1665.
