About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow in the rich, fertile soils along the Isonzo River.
Vinification
After harvest the grapes are destemmed and fermented by the Ganimede method. The length of fermentation varies with the quality of the grapes. When fermentation ends, the wine is drained from the vat and the remaining pomace is pressed.
Ageing
The wine matures first in stainless steel tanks, then moves to French oak barriques and tonneaux for further ageing before bottling.
Tasting profile
Delicate aroma and velvety palate, shaped significantly by the oak ageing. Elegant berry notes.
Serving and pairing
Pairs with roast partridge or refined meat-based soups.
