About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from several vineyards in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, planted between 1996 and 2018. The vineyards lie on rich, fertile soils along the Isonzo River.
Vinification
At the winery, the grapes are destemmed, crushed and pressed. The first fermentation takes place at 16 °C. The resulting base wine is filtered, then sugar and selected yeasts are added. A slow secondary fermentation follows in a pressurised tank at a controlled 16–18 °C. When the pressure reaches 5 bar, the wine is chilled, filtered and bottled.
