About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The 2024 wine comes from selected plots at Finca Los Miradores in Los Árboles and Finca Miralejos in Paraje Altamira. Both sites lie in Valle de Uco. The vines average 20 years of age and the vineyards sit at an average altitude of 1,050 metres.

Grapes

100% Malbec.

Vinification

The grapes are picked manually into 18–20 kg boxes. Bunch selection is followed by destemming and berry selection. The must undergoes cold maceration for five to seven days at 8–10°C, then ferments in small stainless-steel tanks with regular punching down and délestage. The wine is transferred to oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and maturation. It is subsequently filtered and bottled.

Ageing

Twelve months in oak barrels, followed by at least six months in the winery cellar before release.

Technical data

2024 vintage: 14.3% alcohol, total acidity 5.4, pH 3.4 and residual sugar 2.3 g/l. Ageing potential is ten years.

Tasting profile

Deep red with black highlights, clean and bright. Cherry, plum and other red and black fruit aromas are joined by subtle peppery spice. The palate is smooth, full, elegant and persistent, with pleasantly textured tannins, good balance and a long, complex finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve between 15°C and 18°C.
