About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow on limestone slopes with soils of volcanic origin.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo traditional vinification.

Ageing

The wine matures for six months in small oak barrels, followed by two months in bottle.

Vintage notes

In 2018, heavy rain and hail damaged some Tuscan areas planted with Sangiovese. This was followed by favourable summer conditions, with hot days and cooler nights, resulting in a strong, healthy harvest. The season’s red wines had juicy fruit, good acidity and structure.

Label / history

San Giuseppe takes its name from the stone estate of the same name on the producer’s property.
