About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in one of Tuscany's most unspoiled areas, in the far south of the region between Mount Amiata and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Sea breezes soften the high daytime temperatures of summer. The text credits this terroir with the wine's fruity, fresh taste and rich aroma.
Grapes
Sangiovese 93%, Alicante 7%.
Vinification
The grapes ferment spontaneously in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts, followed by 12 days of maceration. The wine is bottled without filtration, so some sediment may form in the bottle; the text presents this as a sign of its natural character.
Ageing
Total ageing is 24 months, partly in concrete tanks and partly in bottle.
Tasting profile
Fruity and fresh, with a rich aroma. The tannins are sweet, and the wine becomes increasingly enjoyable to drink.
Label / history
"Ribeo" is a dialect word meaning "to drink and drink again."
