About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines are more than 20 years old and grow in high-elevation vineyards in the Colline Metallifere area of Tuscany. The soils combine travertine, marl and limestone, contributing mineral character while preserving lively acidity and clear aromas.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and macerated in chestnut barrels for 12 hours. The must then ferments with wild yeasts. The wine is neither fined nor filtered.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in old oak and chestnut barrels, followed by six months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Mineral and clearly aromatic, with lively acidity, the wine is structured yet delicate and well balanced, with a distinct expression of its place of origin.
