About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from a single hectare of 120-year-old vines.
Vinification
The grapes were crushed by foot, after which the juice flowed by gravity into concrete tanks containing volcanic rock. Fermentation with native yeasts lasted 20 days.
Ageing
The wine aged for 15 months in 500-litre oak barrels.
Label / history
The name pays tribute to Cesare’s grandfather, Turiglio, who laid the foundations of the estate by building a stone cellar for ageing wine.
