About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay grows in the Camara area, on 4 ha of east-facing vineyards at 180–220 m above sea level. The position gives the vines plenty of gentle sunlight, so the grapes ripen slowly and evenly. The vines are up to 26 years old and stand in limestone marl over a chalk substrate, trained by the Guyot system.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into small crates. Vinification includes skin-contact maceration and takes place at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine ages for 5 months in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting profile
Clean, woody and tropical in both aroma and taste.
Serving and pairing
Pairs with vegetable dishes, freshwater fish such as trout or pike, and fine cheeses.
Label / history
First released in 1984.
