About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Montepeloso’s vineyards extend over 7 hectares of clay-soiled hills. Fabio Chiarelotto restored the vineyards in 1997, and some of the vines remain young.

Vinification

The must undergoes a short maceration and ferments with natural yeasts.

Ageing

The wine is aged before being bottled without filtration.

Tasting profile

Rich and powerful.

Label / history

“Nardo” means “lavender” in the Tuscan dialect. Annual production has never exceeded 400 bottles and is expected to increase as the young vines mature.
