About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from vineyards in Radda, in the heart of Chianti—the same sites used for Le Pergole Torte. The vineyards face east and northeast, supporting a long growing season and full ripening. Yields are kept very low.
Vinification
The must ferments for approximately 25 days in cement tanks. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in cement.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in oak barrels, followed by three months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Balanced, elegant and complex, with a lighter style than Le Pergole Torte.
