About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Perpiero comes from Tenuta Moraia in the Maremma, beyond the last Metalliferous Hills and within sight of the Tuscan coast and Castiglione della Pescaia. Its story is framed around Pierangiolo Piccini walking the estate’s sunlit, sea-facing hills and imagining the potential of their vineyard rows.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc. Percentages are not specified for the 2021 release.

Toscana IGT. The 2021 vintage has 14% alcohol and is offered in a 0.75 L bottle.
Tasting profile
The bouquet opens delicately with hibiscus, fragrant daphne and violet. Strawberry, blueberry, cassis and Fuji apple form the fruit profile, underlined by balsamic touches of thyme and bay leaf. The palate is smooth and intense: Sangiovese supplies grace, while Cabernet Sauvignon progressively adds depth. Lightly spicy tannins work with the acidity to balance the exuberant fruit. The finish is elegant and lively, with contrasting impressions of undergrowth and Mediterranean spice.
