About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

100% Vermentino from the Muraccio basso vineyard in the Parrina production area, grown on clay and calcareous soils. The grapes are cultivated sustainably and picked by hand in several passes according to ripeness. Bunches are selected on a sorting belt, and the resulting lots are processed separately.

Vinification

The grapes are pressed at low temperature, and the must undergoes 24 hours of skin contact under cool conditions to extract aromatic compounds. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel for 17 days at 17°C. The separately fermented lots are subsequently blended.

Ageing

The wine remains on its fine lees in stainless-steel tanks before bottling. The product description gives an ageing period of six months, while the technical sheet describes it more generally as several months.

Technical data

  • Alcohol: 12.5% vol.
  • Bottle: 750 ml
  • Closure: one-piece natural cork

Tasting profile

Golden straw yellow, sometimes showing greenish highlights. The nose is delicate, characteristic and fruity, with apple, citrus peel and peach. The palate has good body and tropical-fruit notes balanced by savouriness and a distinctly briny character. Smooth and balanced overall, with freshness and a medium-length finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 10–12°C. Pair with fish, crustaceans and seafood, as well as fresh cheeses, vegetables, bruschetta and mushroom crêpes.
