About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow on the valley floor around Cortina s.s.d.v., where a well-ventilated microclimate and sandy alluvial soils containing calcareous gravel favor Rhine Riesling.

Grapes

Rhine Riesling. Alto Adige DOC.

Vinification

The grapes are crushed and destemmed into a pneumatic tank press. A 6–8-hour cold maceration precedes gentle pressing to preserve and emphasize the fruit. The juice is clarified by natural sedimentation, then fermented in stainless steel with selected yeasts at a controlled 19 °C.

Technical data

Yield: 55 hl/ha.

Tasting profile

The color ranges from greenish yellow to bright yellow. The bouquet is gently floral, with fresh peach and apricot. The palate is dry and elegant, combining delicate acidity with lively fullness and fine fruit.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 10–12 °C with fish, vegetables or appetizers. Cellaring potential is 3–5 years.
