Vineyard and terroir
Piandorino draws on all five estate vineyards. Selection favours younger plants, the experimental vineyard, cooler exposures and vines growing in the estate's more clay-rich Pliocene soils.

100% Sangiovese.
Technical data
Toscana IGT. Depending on the vintage, production generally ranges from 1,500 to 4,000 bottles.
Tasting profile
Piandorino presents the more direct, lively and immediately approachable side of the estate's Sangiovese. Its character is assertive, spontaneous and comparatively uncomplicated, while retaining a sense of developing potential.
