About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The 0.5 ha vineyard lies near the top of a hill at approximately 600 m above sea level. The vines average 18–22 years of age and are planted at a density of 4,500 vines per hectare.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at full phenolic ripeness, usually in October. Fermentation begins spontaneously in cement and stainless-steel tanks, without temperature control. The wine is bottled without filtration.
Ageing
The wine matures for 3–6 months in 500 L oak tonneaux, followed by a further 3–6 months in the winery’s cellars after bottling.
