Vineyard and terroir
The Primitivo is grown in Puglia. The grapes are carefully selected.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Label / history
The name honours the legendary king of Felline, a town near Manduria that mysteriously disappeared during the Middle Ages. The Felline winery is part of the "Accademia dei Racemi" project created by Gregory Perrucci, and it takes an active part in reviving Primitivo di Manduria. The winery is named after the ancient area of Felline, near Manduria on the Ionian coast, where legend says Saint Peter landed in 45 AD on his way to Rome to preach Christianity.
