Ricasoli unveils the 2022 Gran Selezione

The release comprised Castello di Brolio, Colledilà, Roncicone and CeniPrimo from the 2022 vintage. Prolonged drought and heat required careful pruning, canopy management and soil work adapted to the estate’s different geological formations. Rain in August relieved water stress and supported phenolic ripeness. Harvest began on 14 September and was completed within ten days. Shorter macerations were used to retain elegance and fine tannins, while new barrels with deeper toast profiles supplied complexity without obscuring Sangiovese.
