Mycorrhizae and Symbiosis

Mycorrhizae form mutually beneficial associations with plant roots. The relationship improves plant balance and microbiological life, expands the volume of soil explored by roots and increases access to water and nutrients.

Well-mycorrhized roots are associated with stronger resistance to fungal disease and climatic or biological stress. Mycorrhizae also improve soil structure, water retention and aeration. Protecting this microbiological vitality through biodiversity-focused cultivation is therefore integral to Roagna’s non-invasive approach without fertilisers, manure or pesticides.
