Bees and the protection of biodiversity: San Marzano honey
After more than a year among the flowers of the estate, the bee colonies produced the first San Marzano honey. The project began in spring 2023 with Apicolturaurbana.it, which helped install two hives on one of the estates.
The initiative has two connected purposes: encouraging pollination among crops and protecting bees. Because bees are essential pollen carriers and their continued presence is an indicator of environmental health, the colonies also help monitor the estate. The project is linked symbolically to Polline Moscato Passito, whose name refers to pollen as a fertile grain and carrier of life.
