About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyard lies in the Illasi Valley. It is planted at high density and managed for low yields. The alluvial soils comprise deep layers of limestone-rich clay and river stones deposited by ancient rivers.
Grapes
Three different Chardonnay clones are grown in the vineyard.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the second ten-day period of September, then chilled and gently pressed. Part of the must ferments in French oak barriques.
Ageing
Part of the wine ages in French oak barriques.
Tasting profile
Layered and well balanced, with freshness, minerality, elegant buttery notes and added structure. The flavour is complex and rich.
