Making Room for Experience – Matteo Scalise on the Scarpa Villas Project
The complex was built between 1996 and 2000 in place of an old farmhouse, using local materials including Piedmontese brick. Architect Ginomario Bemer created the original buildings; Archistudio14 later restyled the interiors. Matteo Scalise describes an understated design based on authentic materials, natural light, tailored furnishings and views toward the vineyard and pool, with the intervention intended to serve rather than overpower the landscape.
