Monvigliero, Grand Cru

Monvigliero is described as a southwest-facing natural amphitheatre with a notably dry climate and light, loose soil. Scarpa principally grows Nebbiolo there, while a smaller portion preserves Pelaverga, a variety revived by Verduno growers after its near disappearance following phylloxera. The Scarpa Villas provide hospitality within the same vineyard landscape.
