About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are located in the Piave River valley and on the Treviso plain. Their fertile alluvial soils consist mainly of gravel, sand, silt and sedimentary rock. These soils and the proximity of the Piave River create a distinctive microclimate suited to the variety.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in late August, before full ripeness. After gentle pressing, they undergo several hours of cold maceration. The must is separated from the skins with a press and clarified by static settling to remove suspended particles. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled low temperature with selected yeast cultures. The bubbles are produced using the Charmat method.
Ageing
The wine is matured and stabilized in steel tanks.
