About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie near the commune of Vinci, on soils containing shell remains and minerals, which give the wine a distinctive mineral character. The Calappiano estate, the heart of the Sensi company, stands near the village of Vinci.
Vinification
After sorting, the grapes are pressed. The juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18 °C.

Label / history
Calappiano is the Sensi company's central estate, near Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. The estate is also a place of history, art and architectural treasures. The Sensi family has been making wine since 1890, and Calappiano is where they put their bold ideas and plans into practice, combining traditional recipes and techniques with innovation and respect for the environment.
